Welcome to Attingham Home Designs, where passion meets precision.  My name is Taura and as an environmental engineer/project manager with a lifelong love for design, I'm thrilled to share in my joy and experiences to help transform your space into a haven of beauty and functionality. My journey into interior design began in college (War Eagle!) where I hustled for reduced rent and helped my landlord renovate houses.  After living in a tiny condo in Chicago for 9 years, we moved to Peoria in 2013 where I designed, built, and decorated, from scratch, my first house (with a little feng shui in mind).  I have been working on enhancing the indoor and outdoor spaces of the home since we moved in, in 2014, starting with the Covid-inspired outdoor enhancement in 2021, custom primary closet installation in 2022, and a basement renovation in 2023 where I created a space for the teens and the adults.  A ton of research goes into designing a space and functionality can't be ignored.  Check out my projects, I have several spaces that were designed with different functionalities in mind.   I am eager to share my expertise and creativity with you, helping you turn your house into a home that inspires you!
