While designing the teens playground, we didn't want to forget the grownups. We took an unfinished space and turned it into an amazing space just for adults.
As part of our basement renovation, the goal was to make the space inviting for our teens (or guests). This area has just about everything. From a workspace created in the hallway, a poker/game nook, popcorn center, large tv used for movies or gaming, hidden space to hide all those cords and Xboxes, ping pong table and a wall of bookcases/shelving/drawers to display and hold all those games.
Welcome to what we call Porch 2.0. This is a step up from the original porch (i.e. Porch 1.0), which, when the sun was beating down, was basically a small unusable space, off of the sunroom with a concrete pad and a grill thrown on it. It has since been transformed into an entertaining space that can accommodate large groups.
